We are Ann Jones & Megan Jones-Smith a mother-daughter team of knitters! Through this blog we share our inspiration, new yarns we have found, our latest projects and even our goofs.
About Us
Ann: I live in the rural Atlantic coastal town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I've been a knitter since I was 7, now 63 years. My knitting is based on my experience and I get inspiration and ideas from my friends in my local knitting guild. I have a small shop in my home, Tin Pot Textiles. I have my work available for sale and also work on a commission basis and I stock limited amounts of yarn, supplies for knitting and rug hooking including hand died wool for traditional rug hooking.
Megan: I live in urban Austin, Texas in the United States. We have a 2 1/2 year old toddler who is a delight. I finally took up my mother's offer to teach me to knit 12 years ago. I am a member of the online knitting community, participating in email groups and looking to internet-based knitting for inspiration and ideas. But I still love my local yarn stores - there are wonderful shops here in Austin. Son Noah keeps me busy so don't get a lot of time to knit or post but I do pick up the needles on quiet times.
